When I started this blog, I did so as a way to get my Writer's badge. I've kept a diary for the last ten years and reckoned a blog could also count for the Diarist badge, along with a kind of embroidery log I'm doing this year. I set myself the challenge to post twice a week on average, always on the subject of badge progress but this week has passed by without an entry. It's been a really busy week and I just haven't had time. It's Sunday, I've had a lie-in, have got a few jobs out of the way and here I am.

I thought I'd do a little update on my progress towards my Reader Badge.

I'm wedded to my kindle (nine years before I needed to replace it - I find that staggering) and love everything about it except that I never know the title or author of what I'm reading. I've made an effort to screenshot my current list because a blog needs pictures, right?

My current reading is The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewellery. It's a go-to genre for me, a contemporary thriller, and comes highly recommended by some great writers. I'm really enjoying it.

I've recently read and enjoyed the three novels below - quirky, twisty and funny respectively.

My sister-in-law inspired me to read How to Kill Your Family, though she has no idea!

I have the next two books lined up to meet the badge criteria - a biog (I've gone auto) and a non-fiction.

I'll then get back to fiction and have bought a book written by a fellow Rebel, Eleanor Pattinson. Having read The Silent House, I know I'm going to enjoy this too.

Great work here - I’ve found that time has been running away with me recently - been doing loads of different things which count towards badges, but haven’t managed to write them up. I don’t use a Kindle, I use my iPad to read Twitter and blogs, but rarely use it to read books, but I have so many books in the house, that I’m trying to make my way through the ones I’ve not yet read, and so then streamline the collection!🤣🤣 - it isn’t entirely working, as my aunt sends me books once she’s read them. I read once I’ve gone to bed, butI’m finding that I can’t read that much before my eyes start closing or I…
