Diarist

I've kept a diary for some years prior to becoming a Rebel, just a couple of sentences per day, so felt I needed something different or additional to feel I've earned Diarist badge. Specifically for the badge, I started a blog to record my Rebel journey and handily doubled up to award myself my Writer's badge.
Before I bought my Rebel book, I'd started an embroidery diary and thought I'd keep that going alongside my daily diary. At times, I've found it challenging but have completed a full 6 months from that point in March. 3/4 of the way through 2022 and I intend to see it through.

I've also dabbled with journals, especially to record big events. This has included big holidays and major life events. 2022 has been interesting in terms of winding up my teaching career and my journal was helpful for working out possibilities as well as the occasional spleen-vent. It was the perfect foil for the outward professionalism I projected in the last few months of my career.

The daily diary continues, alongside a planning diary, which I use to motivate myself to do something useful or necessary, something creative or social and something physical most days.

I don't have any delusions about any of this being of any interest to anyone but me but I genuinely enjoy it and find it interesting, sometimes affirmative, to look back on.
That embroidery diary is beautiful!
