Life drawing. The neon one.

So tonight saw me and the bestie head to ultra cool Shoreditch for a life drawing class. We were in the back room of a cocktail bar, devoid of windows and barely lit. There were a few candles and some ultraviolet lamps and that was it. Our drawing materials consisted of neon oil pastels and highlighter pens.

The life model was naked but covered in mad neon swirls and stripes, possibly inspired by van Gogh.
We did a number of exercises : draw without looking at the paper; continuous line; pointillism; shapes; movement; and animation. It was very liberating and great fun. No works of art from me but art is about process. I might use my drawings in a collage for a future project.
