Fastest win - toner

It's been a busy week for me with work, keeping up with life and dealing with mum's house being marketed (who knew there would be so many messages?). It hasn't left too much time for badge work, though I've blogged (writer), swum and cycled (fitness) and used Duolingo every day (linguist).

So today I decided to crack on with something I had planned to do - and hoped would be easy - for my Apothecary badge. Having guestimated the measurements for my previous makes, I decided to attempt a little more precision. Having found instructions online and dug out a little bottle from a toiletry travel set, it really couldn't have been simpler.

Mix equal parts lemon juice and glycerin. I had bought a tiny bottle of vegetable glycerin so one juicy lemon turned out to be enough. I mixed it in a little jug and poured it into my tiny bottle. According to the instructions I found, a spray bottle is ideal for spritzing the face. However, I found a pump bottle and that's great for applying a very small amount of toner with a cotton pad. It also avoids getting lemon in the eye, which I imagine would be pretty unpleasant.

I've used it once and my face hasn't fallen off yet. I have outed myself as a serial starter and I'm not dissimilar with new products (oh, the arrogance of the woman, chucking two things in a bottle and calling it a product!) so it may only get used a few times, tbh.

And with my bloke, it's entirely possible that it will end up dressing a salad!
