I've changed some of the headings quite dramatically and although some of the events may seem removed from the spirit of the badge, I'm happy to claim the badge because of the amount of planning required.

First up was my mum's funeral. There was a huge amount to do, starting with registering the death and providing the necessary paperwork. There were a great many decisions to be made about the service itself, people to organise, order of service to plan, etc. Invitations (sounds like the wrong word) were extended and a link set up for people who couldn't attend in person. The wake was organised in a local pub and I also organised drinks and snacks beforehand for those who felt it appropriate. There was a great deal of work involved but I'm glad to say the day went really well.

Next up, I organised a restaurant lunch to celebrate a friend's 50th. Then a weekend celebration for bloke's birthday. This involved two different hotels, drinks with friends, a theatre show, an exhibition, a museum, an activity, meals, etc. I also had to arrange for dog sitting.

Finally, I organised a boat trip for the family so we could scatter mum and dad's ashes. The lunch was a disaster (totally not my fault) but everything else was perfect. Chilled wine and beer aboard, music, flowers to drop on the water as we said our final goodbyes... Mum and dad would have loved the day and so we all appreciated that.
