Diarist update.

Three months back, I wrote a blog post about my efforts towards my diarist badge and thought I'd do a quick update.
I have continued my regular daily diary, which I've been doing for about ten years. I started this blog back in March to satisfy both Writer and Diarist, as it's where I log my RBC stuff.
I also do journals occasionally, for example, for big holidays. I've had one on the go over the last year regarding strike action at work, my subsequent decision to leave and the journey to taking early retirement. There were times when the management were nothing short of bullying and journalling helped me get things out of my system without risking my pension with a disciplinary (how I'd have liked to have told one particular woman every which way she could eff off!).
My final effort is a stitched diary of the year and I've just completed the July "entry". I am finding it challenging in terms of stitches (I'm no embroiderer), size (my eyes are old - I should have gone larger) and ideas. I'm a pretty busy person but I do seem to do a lot of similar things, with theatre trips, meals out and boat trips being quite high on the agenda this year. Now I come to think of it, I had lunch out today (Unruly Pig near Woodbridge, highly recommended), have a narrow boat trip on Wednesday and theatre tickets for Saturday so it's not going to get any easier. Anyway, here it is, warts and all.
