Crafting in the car

The M1 and my lap are probably not the ideal surfaces for weaving a raffia basket but they are, in my mind, the perfect excuse for the outcome. I have reached the conclusion that people who write instructions for kits are rubbish at their jobs and possibly run workshops that they would prefer us to come to. That is my preferred way of learning too but I couldn't find anyone prepared to teach me in my car.

That said, I did learn something about raffia as I went on and it was a good boredom buster. Also, as all baskets should, it holds stuff!

It is of course easier if you are not driving at the same time as making a raffia basket!!🤣🤣🤪😉 I also like to use car journeys to advance my crafting - learning to do C2C crochet during a car journey was a little tricky, but once I got started I was well away!
