Andrea's Rebel Badges welcomes you
A distraction project for my amusement
I'm a 57 year old woman who likes to have a go at stuff, particularly when it involves my best friend or my bloke (more of Julie and Sage later). We have recently cottoned on to Rebel Badges, which is like Guides for big girls and I'm hoping this will be a place to record some of my badge-earning attempts. Julie will have a shinier website than me and hers will probably work. She will also be scrupulous in earning her badges honestly, while I'm likely to cheat a bit. Hopefully, it will be fun. If not, the race will be on to see if you stop reading before I stop writing.

Questions, probably not frequently asked.
Why should I read this?
You are probably also looking for a distraction and this could be the very thing. You might find it amusing or it might strike you as such a load of crap that you feel better about your own life. You're probably better off finding something else to do.
Who are you?
I'm a 57 year old woman from Ilford, Essex. I'm a primary school teacher but soon to take early retirement (I love my job but I'm looking forward to having time to do more of the nonsense I love). I love reading, holidays, theatre, eating out, crafting... I drink too much (sauv blanc is my go to), eat too much (fancy dinners, prawn cocktail crisps and everything in between) but get a great deal of pleasure from both so have no intention of stopping. My short term memory is a bit hit and miss. The chances are that I haven't answered the question because I've gone off tangent and lost the plot.
Do you know Hugh Dennis?
No.
Why badges?
As a child, I was both a Brownie and Guide. My first ever badge was Hostess, which involved making a cuppa and carrying it to someone without spilling it. I remain a tea drinker but prefer it when someone else makes it. I reckon Brown Owl would take the badge back if she knew. Fast forward a few decades and Julie presented me with a badge one day. I'm not going to lie, it was a bit odd but she kept doing it and I quite liked it. This apron became my badge vehicle.
Had Julie had any nouse, she would have designed a badge book and made her fortune. Somebody else has done it now and we have helped them make their fortune by buying the book.
